Positive Reinforcement
Dog Training
Teaching your dog to do something because they want to, not because they have to
Training That
Thinks Deeper
My foundation is in positive reinforcement built across more than a decade of hands-on practice. Positive reinforcement isn't a trend I've adopted, It is the philosophy that underpins everything I do. It is the foundation I've built an entire career on.

Over the years I've worked alongside some of the most respected practitioners in the field, including VSA Trainers & protection specialists. I've developed a depth of understanding that goes far beyond qualifications & techniques. I know how dogs learn, why behaviour happens, & I know how to help you change it.

My practice is continually informed & updated by professional development investing in courses from The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT), Canine Animal Behaviourists & Vet Physiotherapists. I ensure my methods remain evidence-based, current, and genuinely effective.
Behaviour Consultations
A Behaviour Consultation is where we begin to understand you & your dog.
This isn't a tick-box assessment or a list of things you're doing wrong. It's a genuine, unhurried conversation & a chance for you to tell me everything that you've been experiencing. I will begin to get to know you & your dog, building a picture of what's really going on beneath the surface.

Behaviour is never just behaviour. It can be pain speaking, nervous system dysregulation or a breakdown in communication. Sometimes it's all three.

This first session is as much about you meeting me as it is about me meeting you & your dog. You'll get a feel for how I work, what I believe, and why I approach things the way I do. No jargon, no judgement, just two people who care about the same dog & outcome.

By the end of our time together, I'll have a clear sense of where your dog needs support first — whether that's addressing physical discomfort, beginning some gentle energy and nervous system work, or moving straight into training. You'll leave with a clear, compassionate plan and a path forward that actually makes sense for your dog.

This is where the journey begins. I'd love to be part of it.
One to One's
Group Classes
My one to one sessions are built entirely around you, your dog's personality, your lifestyle, your goals, & the specific moments that are making life harder than it needs to be.
Whether you're navigating the early weeks with a new puppy, trying to rebuild confidence in a dog who's been through a tough time, or working through something that's been going on for years, we start exactly where you are now.

I work in the places that matter, your home, your street & in your local area. A dog who can only perform in your living room & garden hasn't really learned yet. Real progress happens in real life, and that's exactly where I'll meet you.

Every session is rooted in positive reinforcement, not because it's 'on trend', but because it's something I've build my entire career around. It works, it's kind, & it builds something that lasts. You'll come away from each session not just with a dog who's doing something differently, but with a deeper understanding of why — & that understanding changes everything.

I always work in blocks of 6 sessions for my one to one's. One a week for 6 weeks give or take. This is to allow our relationship to build. Not just between you and I but between you & your dog and me & your dog. Don't panic if you can't commit to consecutive weeks, as long as we begin the sessions, build on the knowledge & see progress that's all I'll focus on with you.
Real life is full of distractions — other dogs, new people & unpredictable environments. The only way to truly prepare your dog for all of that is to practise within it.

My controlled group classes offer something no 1:1 session can replicate — the genuine buzz of being around others, learning to focus when focus is hard, and discovering that the world is actually a pretty safe and manageable place.
For the right dog at the right stage, it's where confidence quietly starts to bloom.
My classes are small by design. Every dog in the class gets my attention, every owner gets proper guidance, and nobody gets lost in the crowd. The same positive, force-free philosophy that runs through everything I do runs through every class — because how a dog learns matters just as much as what they learn.

If you've already had a Behaviour Consultation or 1:1 sessions with me, group classes can be a wonderful next step — a chance to take everything you've both been working on & road-test it somewhere that feels like the real world.
If you're new & feel ready to learn alongside others, this might be exactly where your journey begins, but please do CONTACT ME before booking into classes for a quick chat.

Quick Answers
I've used trainers before, why are you different?
I pride myself on my three pillar approach to training. I focus on what your dog is communicating looking at your dog as a whole. This includes looking for pain indicators, nervous system dysregulation & positive reinforcement. It's a unique, science backed approach.
I struggle handling my dog, how can you help me?
I understand that some owners feel anxious & worried about handling their dog, especially in public spaces. I ensure that you're both ready for the environment in which I train you in. I only set you up to succeed in your journey and never push an owner or dog too far.
My dog is anxious of strangers, I'm worried about this.
If you are worried about me entering the home for our first visit then I would do a video consultation first. This allows us the opportunity to understand the situation but at a safe working distance. From here I will tailor a plan thats right for the situation.
